Catalytic Converter

• Car catalytic device (WCC, UCC) : A device that converts pollutants such as HC and CO into the gas burned in the engine into harmless gases such as H2O and CO2 through a catalytic reaction and then discharges them into the atmosphere. Noble metal materials such as platinum, palladium, and rhodium are used as catalysts.
• WCC (Warm-up Catalytic Converter) : The catalytic reaction is activated only when the temperature reaches a certain temperature or higher, so it is located close to the engine to induce a quick reaction after starting.
• UCC (Under-body Catalytic Converter) : It will be additionally installed with WCC in order to satisfy the increasingly strengthened exhaust regulations. located on the bottom of the vehicle and is called UCC.
